Cherry Blossom Wedding?

I really love cherry blossom trees.. I want to implement these flowers into my wedding... has anybody ever done this or know of any good websites to get some great ideas from? I am thinking on each table at my reception to have a cherry blossom floral centerpiece. And the blossoms spread down the isle when I get married...

Cherry Blossom Wedding?
I have seen amazing cherry blossom wedding cakes out there.

Also, you can easily find cherry blossom invitations.

If you live in an area favorable to the growth of cherry blossoms, you can give seed packets as wedding favors.
Reply:Sounds just beautiful and unique, not to mention it will smell good to. Check with different florist to get their opinion, see what other flowers will go with these flowers.

You will still need a main flower for you also. So, talk to a florist or a wedding planner, they can help.
Reply:What a great idea! I don't really have any helpful tips, but I just had to throw in my opinion that I think your wedding will be beautiful. :-)

Check craft stores for cherry blossoms unless you want to do real ones, which means you'd have to get married at this time of year. If you live on the east coast, the blossoms are in full bloom in DC right now. You should go check them out. :)
Reply:Yep - my daughter is having a cherryblossom wedding. Colors pink and chocolate brown with honeydew green.

She found cherry blossom invitations, went to the craft store and found a cherry blossom stamp and made her own insert cards, RSVP cards, thank you notes.

Her centerpieces: She's using a tall cylinder from the craft store...with silk cherry blossom stems, grounded with small river rocks. Votive candles around the table. Beautiful
Reply:WOW...that's gorgeous.

If you went to a florist about it I'm sure they would give you some GREAT ideas..
Reply:The area I live in is absolutely famous for its Cherry Blossom trees. We have a Cherry Blossom Festival every year to celebrate it and it's actually going on right now. There are a lot of weddings this time of year because the trees are all in bloom and it makes for some gorgeous wedding pictures. I'm sure you could get a lot of ideas from the website for the festival. We have all kinds of arts and crafts dedicated to Cherry Blossoms!

Reply:It's been done and this may sound obvious, but you MUST do it when cherry trees are actually flowering!! Otherwise, it will be insanely expensive to have them shipped!

That means mid-March - April depending on where you live. Consult your local florist to see if they have sources. Most people wouldn't appreciate you chopping branches off their beautiful trees...unless of course you have some on your own property! :)
